I can tell you that I'm not the only one jealous
enough to eat matches and spit fire ;-).
Brother Davy Stinson has it right!
I have a 'few' RAK/RAL and donated a set to LST325, they are cool radios.
The operator provides all the functions now supposed to be covered by DSP
etc in new sets. It happens in the experienced ops head, basic prossessor.
I've used an RAL along side a good '390 and SB301 to chase sigs into the
grass and a light hand on the RAK with gain, regen, fine F control, and
audio filters kicks radio ass.
