I can tell you that I'm not the only one jealous
enough to eat matches and spit fire ;-).
Congrats- those big monsters are the receivers you want
if you're after the "classic" WWII Navy ship look
in your shack.  The RAK is 15-600 KC LF/MF receiver,
the RAL is the HF.  TRF radios with regeneration
for copying CW.  Very stable once warmed-up.
Good audio with a properly matched speaker.
Acres of black wrinkle to admire.  Big meters.
Big tubes.  Big knobs.  Big attention getters.
Big envy envy envy........
