In this batch of junque that I have over in Missoula, Montana, I found 9
interesting vibrators. These are NIB military, octal-based, 6 VDC, and
may be synchronous vibrators, since they have two sets of contacts and
a center-tapped coil.
They were sold by Delta Electronics in the 1970s to provide 400 Hz.
power.
An accompanying diagram shows it hooked up to a 6.3 VAC CT
filament transformer so that it puts out 115 VAC at 400 Hz.
One set of contacts is connected to the coil, and the other set of
contacts operates the transformer.
Has anyone here ever seen this type of vibrator? How much current
could one get out of it?
