TM 11-5056 on CU-52/URR is dated 29 January 1954. The Signal Corps nameplate
should have the order number, with the two-digit Federal Fiscal Year in the
middle.
The manual does not mention any specific receivers. The unit originally came
in a wooden transit/operating case with front cover. And had a large wooden
spares box. A note in the manual says that the main chassis can be turned
around allowing access to the input and output connectors from the rear. Will
handle 5 balanced input receivers. The manual also says that a maximum of 9
(not 10) unbalanced input receivers may be connected. If the reason for this is
explained it must be buried in the details later in the manual. Otherwise,
each of the 5 filter chassis will handle one balanced or two unbalanced outputs.
Wouldn't mind having one of these. Unlike most of the later units (both tube
and sand state), operating range is 0.1-24 MC instead of 2-30 MC.
