Sri this comes so late, but did anyone here remember perhaps a
year back when the SENSATIONAL story one morning were Sadam's
just-discovered huge mass graves?  Then by noontime, no more.

I have 2 ex-major ham pals.  Armor.  Independent story goes they
launched outa Kuwait with dozer-blade Abrams @ 2A on a 1/91 morning.
Buried all the former occupants from the 35 mile string of vehicles
that lined "the highway of death" to Baghdad.  The mostly unscarred
vehicles about which the media never reported ownership.

So one of these guys thinks some well-meaning cub reporting team
uncovered a mound of the deceased & drew the wrong conclusion.
Then the DOD sed OOOOOPS & "stop the presses."
