You have a very good start on your station. Those words still ring
clearly in my old noggin: "finding a junction box is going to be next
to impossible". I suspect that odd little test meter is another scarce
item. And yes Mike, it sounds like you were VERY lucky with your find
at Fair Radio.

I'll check over the weekend, Brian. I have a complete RU/GF system
(well, complete as soon as a manual and the spares box appears) that
I've slowly been cleaning up. Doesn't look to have ever been used so,
like you, I'm looking forward to getting on the air with it. Obtaining
this set up of course freed up the one I was piecing together, and
that one *may* have the box you need with it, I'll have to check. Was
going to try to trade it all off together, but the transmitter is
hacked up even though the receiver is like new. It might be better to
piece it out to help several folks get their sets going.

I know it has a tuning control head, antenna relay, and 1-2 other
boxes, just can't remember which ones. Also has dynamotor and some
coils. In fact, I think it has 2 antenna relays because the good one I
bought arrived with some cracked insulators and the fellow I got most
of the parts from (Steve Finelli) was good enough to send along
another relay for its insulators.

They are indeed a very interesting and appealing set up - between all
of that nice, black wrinkle, the nomenclature tags, big, aluminum
connector cases, and all the pieces-parts. I'd be interested to see
how others have their systems layed out for operation. I want to set
mine up in a way that looks at least somewhat authentic, not simply
convenient. I know - there are many different configurations due to
the variations of aircraft they were used in and the amount of
available space. Just curious how others do it, considering that
virtually everything has to go through the junction box. Those
aluminum operating positions Mike Hanz has are definitely the cat's
meow!

I really need to make up that list of ARC-5/ARA/ATA/RU/GF/Command set
stuff to trade. Yet another of those 'round tuit' things on the list.
