"AA-2 Question:
How does your radio equipment function?

"Our SCR-177 sets have functioned quite well, but the SCR-543s have not been
reliable for any distance over 15 miles. SCR-284 and SCR-593 sts have been
satisfactory for limited ranges only. We have found it necessary to steal extra
batteries and charging equipment in order to maintain all radio equipment in
operating condition. We have found the T/O allowance of radio operators 
inadequate for 24 hour operation and have been forced to convert men from
other duties."
