6625-497-895 would be the Federal Stock Number
but it is incomplete as there should be four digits
in the third series of numbers. Nowadays, the FSN
has been converted to NSN for National Stock Number.
These are in the format of #### - ## - ### - ####.
Most NSNs have 00 as the second group, but new NSNs
usually have 01 as the second group. When these run
out, they will start using 02 for that group.
The 32 FSL is probably the unit that owned it at one time.
The rest is a mystery to me.

Does anyone know where I cann get a scan of the manual for a BC-221Q. I
found one at BAMA but it is for a BC-221M. I'm not sure how much difference
there is, but I know the power suppply in mine is much more heavyduty than
the one shown in the manual.
Secondarily I was wondering what the nomenclature on the front the box is.
The stuff I'm talking about is hand-painted.
In large yellow paint is:
SCELR-6307
C 715
In red/organge paint is:
7032.5
6625-497-895
S/N-02091 <--- This one is obvious.
Finally in large stencil letters is:
32-FSL
Thanks for your help.
