Subject: [Milsurplus] RAK Antenna Connector

If I remember correctly, the RAK is designed for a high impedance, short
(approx 35 feet) antenna, or a longer one used with a series capacitor so
the input can be resonated. So, a BNC or SO-239 is a bit superfluous. Most
all mf/lf antennas are really mostly capacitive probes. I think there was a
late mod to change to a coaxial connector, but it was a high impedance thing
similar to that used in auto radios. Actually, the RAK has plenty of gain,
and will probably work ok with 50 Ohm input, but I think you can do better.
