Mike and the group,
The "High and the Mighty" was about a civilian airliner, not
military. But my question is, how much military surplus avionics
were used by the airlines in the late 40s and 50s?
I have certainly heard of ART-13s and BC-348s in airline service,
and remember seeing an airline mod of ARC-1 for extra channels, but
how about ADF's, Loran, radio(radar) altimeters etc?
