I'll agree that an interior and rear view would have been appropriate, in as 
much as he admitted that it had been modified by the installation of an AC 
supply.  However, aside from the missing nameplate, the only other externally 
visible modification is the red "DANGER HIGH VOLTAGE" stenciled on top, plus the 
missing black plastic cap from the antenna binding post.

It is obvious that it's a J, N or Q.  All BC-224's and all other models of 
BC-348 had an antenna trimmer.  The J, N and Q were cost-cutter sets, and along 
with other measures, didn't have a trimmer.
