I've been working on this TCS 9 for the past two weeks and have a problem I can't seem to resolve. Any suggestions will be appreciated. I have 490V B+ and 215V on the screens (under load). It tunes up FB on 80 and 40 with 50 watts out using a vertical. Also utuned it into a dummy load. The problem is when I try to key on CW the K102 relay switching the B+ arcs like a neon sign when the key is released. The only way I can stop the arcing is to switch the B+ off manually. I've checked the circuit and can't find anything wrong. I've worked on the relay and adjusted it out of the circuit using a VOM to check continuity. It releases FB and the spacing seems right. I went so far as to try another relay and had the same results. Also tried an outboard tuner but no difference. I've cleaned all the tube sockets and made certain that all grounds are tight and secure. Any ideas? Thanks Mike K4ELV
