OK.  Now look up Plug 49034A and see whether it's barrel cover is about 5/8" 
dia. with two side-by-side screw terminals.

And I had a 49015-A headset a few years back (think I sold it in '98 to 
someone with a TBO) and it had 49012-C flat rubber molded w/pin jacks.  The TBO and 
early TBX had binding posts for the headset, not a phone jack.  What's the 
description of 49017?  Might it be 49012 plus 49034???

Incidentally, never occurred to me but those green headband HS-16-A's made 
during the Vietnam War would work fine with the early TBX.
