[Milsurplus] BC-611 IF Tuning

I read awhile back about BC-611 IF alignment.
I've worked on several and found that the receive crystals
have often drifted off frequency, some by quite a bit.
I haven't had much luck getting them back on freq
by "cleaning" and the like, and even lost one messing with it.
Since the crystal fixes the conversion frequency,
I think it's better to tune the IFs to work with
the crystal you have, rather than strictly set them
to 455 KC.  What do you think?
