Thanks for that real-life information. The voltage diagrams in the manuals seem to indicate that the PA plate voltage is about 20 volts below the B-battery voltage (due to losses in the modulation reactance).
I've got a BC-611-F on 3885 kc. I wouldn't feel too bad about trying to power it up someday, though normally I'm philosophically against powering up old relics.
Does the I-135 include the special outer case with the proper hole cuts to access the alignment points? The need for such an odd animal would seem to make changing frequencies and aligning a BC-611 challenging without that cover.
