I the time frame 1948-1952 I flew on several R4D's and UF1 navy aircraft
and they had stock AF radio gear. In most cases the R4D's were ex C-47's
and the UF-1's were ex SA-16 types. Also understand that ex C-54's in navy
service carried the AF gear.
