I just post this for general WW2 interest.
I am in fact thinking of bidding on this myself, to be able to post it later along
with other photos. This despite the seller's overdrive description.
The radio is certainly a pre suffix-8 TBX. Indicated by the white faced meters.
The unique TBX handcrank, intended for clamping to a bench in a wooden boat,
but usually photographed clamped to a palm tree, is also seen.
The seller has artfully attached such terminology as "spy" and "OSS" to the
scene. From my experience with the seller, he is indeed honorable in that you
get what you ordered, but he does have quite the storyteller's craft. I think in
th militaria market this is called "upgrading the product." I called him
on a description once, the photo if i recall had a BC-1000 central to it but was
identified as "German troops". The reply i got said basically "You are an idiot
and I have added you to my blocked-email list." -Hue Miller
