Try your local hobby store, the old style hobby store
that specializes in R/C, trains, models etc.
Some of the things that I found useful there:
Clear plastic for replacement dial windows
Small (#0 and #00) screws for repairing wafer switches
Brass tubing (connector substitutes for testing)
Small pieces of aluminum and brass sheet(a little pricey but
when you only need a few square inches, not too bad)
Books (such as the "in action" and "walkaround". Some
of them have shots of radio installations.
Any one else have any items found at hobby/craft or
other non-electronic stores they have found useful?
