[Milsurplus] ID telescopic antenna ??

This antenna is 14" x 5/8" collapsed. 74" extended.  Almost looks like an AN-29
but is thinner, feels heavier. Top has a plastic "button" about an inch long that
looks like an oldtime tall top hat with small brim. The base has neither threaded 
rod nor threaded socket; it has two threaded holes on the opposite sides of the
base for about #6 screws.  No numbers on it anywhere. What is this from, 
maybe a target transmitter or a Forest Service radio of some type?  Not a civilian
item, i don't think.  Thanks-  Hue Miller
