I strongly suspect that my Bird 1.2 KW (30 min) dummy
load is also full of such oil.  I'm not a bit worried as
I don't intend to drink the stuff!

I heard a story of someone who had a *large* transformer they had "acquired" 
for farm use and never used which was filled with a large amount of such 
oil.  He had heard the power company would, for a fee (a few hundred bucks 
to the right person), take it for disposal with their other transformers.  
So he drove it to the yard in the bad part of town but they had closed for 
the day.  So he unhitched and left the trailer there overnight.  When he 
returned early next morning the trailer was still there, but the transformer 
had been stolen.  And he had a parking ticket, but it was worth it!
