Back when I was doing some acoustic work, I came across a product which was 1/16" of soft lead with vinyl sheet laminated to both sides.  Soft and flexible for draping over noisy things, but no exposed lead.  Seems like it might also be useful for draping over MAW front panels if you are worried about fly-over/drive by radiation detectors.
