In the early 1970s I worked in Japan on several ship building jobs. On
a trip over I had a Voltage Regulator [VR105, OD3, etc.] tube in my bag.
I had forgotten these tubes have a very small amount of radio active
gas to help establish an ionization and the arc within the tube. When
the customs official saw the radiation symbol on the tube package I was
in trouble. :-)
