[Milsurplus] BC-610 E Plate Tuning

Good Morning....

On my BC-610 E the metal flange (can't remember what it's really called)
behind the original knob has been pretty well marked up and has tape
applied to mark different settings. In the ownership process, somewhere
down the line, it was also polished. My question is, did it at one time
have any markings on it or is it simply there so you can lock the knob?
On my old "I" model the same flange is larger and has a graduated
scale. I don't know if the "I" model knob and flange are original, but
I'm positive the "E" model in question is as the knob is the old
steering wheel type and has Hallicrafters on it.

If, in fact, it is supposed to have markings (which I think it is) does
anyone happen to have a spare flange laying around they'd like to sell?

Thanks for any advice and Happy Holidays to all...
Rick
