[Milsurplus] Western Electric info needed

A Western Electric model 28A receiver followed
me home yesterday, anyone have any info on it?

Manual? Schematics? Usage? Any info at all welcome.

Note, this is *not* the R-28 receiver of the
ARC-5 set, a quick look shows it to be a single
channel crystal controlled HF receiver with built
in 6V vibrator supply. The crystal installed is
9240 kc.
