[Milsurplus] 1960 Sonic Boom city-reaction tests

I'm sure others remember.  B58s were sent around USA to gather
results on public reaction to sonic booms.  Pretty sure July '60.

I lived near Wright-Pat in north Cincy & think we were early in program.
So here's this summer morning & I'm headed to my hi-fi shop job.

I pull the big front door closed sharply to assure the hasp would
set first time.  At the very millisecond the door slam arrived in my
left ear, the huge sonic boom entered through the right.

If this were 2002, I'da done a Homer Simpson & said "D'oh!"   But
it was 40 years earlier & I just stood stock still while the
echoes subsided.  Stunned for the moment thinking I'd pulled the
entire house down behind me and deigning to be easier on doors
thereafter.
