Whatever the GE rig is, it's not a Master II. I suspect you have some
form of a Master Progress Line, if it is all tube. (which it appears)
Based on the Mic, it's Progline to Master Pro vintage. The chassis
construction looks like Prog Line.
Progress Line- (Prog Line) All tube, could be vibrator or solid state
chopper mobile Power Supply, or Base with diodes
Transistor Prog Line (TPL)- Neat modular hybrid mobile, solid state
RX and TX except for PA.
Master Pro- Solid State receiver, Tube final
Master Exec- (Exec)Solid State
Master II- All solid state, "modern" non-trunking. (Late 70's through
early 90's)
Master Exec II (Exec II)- All solid state, slightly lower duty cycle on
base/repeaters, different package than Master II, but many of the same
modules. PA and xtal accuracy main difference
I used Prog lines as mobiles and base for 2m use in the 70's, TPL for
mobile, and Exec II's, Mstr II's, and MVP's as repeaters. All are great
radios!
Have fun!
