I have been enjoying the George Sallet memoir recently referred to on the
list at http://www.cronab.demon.co.uk/sallet.htm

I thought the many Air Corps enthusiasts would be interested in his ship's
role as a beacon for B-29s flying out of Saipan.  See extract number 20.
