[Milsurplus] TBW plate meter

Ok, it's a long shot but will ask anyway. I have been building up a
TBW transmitter for a couple months now and am I desperate need of a
replacement plate current meter. The meter is a 0 to 300 Ma with black
face, internal shunt. It fits in a 2" hole and mounts with three
screws. The meter lives in the power supply section for the TBW, next to
the filament voltage meter. I did disassemble and clean the plate
current meter and after several attempts to clean the meter it still
sticks, a real drag when trying to dip the plate. I have a GE meter that
will be here soon but it is only a 250 Ma full scale and has a white
face, would really like to have a black face meter. Was thinking that a
TCS plate current meter would work, the normal plate current is about 80
Ma in voice and about 160 Ma in CW. Don't remember what the TCS meter
top was but think it may be around 200 Ma so that can be a problem. If
you want to see what the TBW looks like I have put a couple pictures of
it on my web page: www.KA3EKH.NET under project of the week.
Thanks, Ray Fantini KA3EKH
