[Milsurplus] Anyone buy the MAR ?

I had, what I think was, an MAR many years ago. I got it NIB from 
AFMARS. If it is the correct rig, it had a pair of 2C39s in it that you had 
to be VERY careful how you closed the case in order to keep from 
breaking them, but I thought my rig was all one piece.  I don't recall a 
separate dynamotor/modulator for it.

But, of course, my memory for these details is getting dimmer.

A friend, Bob Preston W7DPG,  who was also in AFMARS got one at 
the same time. We set them up so I could talk to him from my job at a 
TV station in Missoula, Montana which was situated on top of a very 
high mountain. It was line of sight to Bob's place from there, but about 
15 miles. They seemed to work pretty well as I recall.

Yup. I read it. So it must have come through....unless I have mental 
tele-putty...at least I'm probably mental by now...hmmmmm...
