Sounds like that would be a good way to search for sunken galleons 
or search for oil fields for not much money! Or find lost  Spanish mines
in the Superstition  Mountains! Or the BC-645 - convert it to a 465 MHz
Class D Citizens Band radio and save a lot of money!

I wonder if G&G ever sold any of the RAY-3 receivers? 
Their catalog had a number of strange and not-very-useful seeming
equipment, didn't it? -Hue
