[Milsurplus] HS-30 question

I have a nice set of HS-30 phones with a JB-47 in the cable a few inches below
the point were the wire splits into the arms of the "Y". This is just tie points
for the connections between the headset wires and the phone cable.

The question is, can a transformer be inserted at this point to raise the Z of
the headset, and if so, what is the transformer number? Actually, does anyone
have one is more to the point. Please reply off-list if you do.
