Re: Coventry.  There is a relatively recent book, "Operation Moonlight Sonata" which was written after the author pretty thoroughly researched the records in both the UK and Germany.  Author is Alan Kurki, a retired college dean who lives in the same retirement complex as a good friend of mine.  Book was rare until recently, then Amazon came up with some more, and I have one on order.  So, I'll not spill the beans about the conclusions I have been told second hand until I have read them for myself.  Kurki is fluent in German and English, and some French, so I suspect he got to the bottom of the various rumors.  Moonlight Sonata was the German code name for that raid.
