I deal with natural beeswax regularly, as it's the substance used to make the
seal ring under a toilet. If you happen to need a cheap, virtually unlimited
source of natural beeswax, just buy the flat version with no plastic horn in
it - about 98 cents at your local plumbing/home supply emporium.
And yes, almost nothing with dissolve it - that's why it's used, and why you
have to be VERY careful not to drop any large pieces down the sewer line when
re-seating a commode. It might flush thru, and it might not - since it also
floats. e
