[Milsurplus] Question on the H-33 handset

I bought a surplus handset at the most recent hamshow,
and it's kinda weird.  It's an H-33 handset, but it
doesn't have the standard U-77 connector, as all the
other -33s I have seen had.  This has a U-161
connector.  What was this used for, or is it a
bastardized handset that needs to be changed back to
its correct config?  Thanks,
