[Milsurplus] Lettine 240 Shock Mount??

The fasteners are  NOT  stock items on the Lettine 240.

Boy, did I want one of those back when I was Novice in 1953-1954.

    A Lettine 240 transmitter followed me home from the Georgetown Ham Fest
Yesterday.  This transmitter has slide type fasteners that might  be used to
mount  the unit in a   mobile configuration. The fastener system looks like
factory install and  not a typical ham installation. Can anyone provide any
information on the mobile use of
this transmitter on this mount system,  perhaps with police or miltary 
agencies?
