HEY, I sed there were some smart guys out (& back there).  They sure
didn't have present tools & if the sensible people I'm sure they were, 
would today wish they had

Wonder if a B29 ever exchanged a message on a hf command channel

Have a skeletonized pic of a B24 fm Consolidated.  Shows 'whip
antenna' (prolly '522) & HF aerial.  Latter fm fuselage left side to top
of left rudder.  Sorta like u sed.

I'd sure like to know where a B17 or B29 "Liasson" trailing wire began.  
Must have been outside of hull right under '375 or 'ART13.  Not shown on
B24 pic.

On later radios like 618 there was coax to 180L3 (for example) auto-
tuna in plane's @$$ from which came the trailing wire.
