End fed wires radiate, whether they're on the top
of an aircraft or not.  A wire is a "capacity hat"
if it's fed near the center so that the fields on
both sides, being of oposite polarity, cancell each
other.  Some aircraft and shipboard wire antennas
don't have a "vertical" section.  They just come
outside and go straight off to whatever supports
the other end.  A professional is someone who
doesn't have a real job, but knows what kind of
work he's out of.
