Say did y'all note the 'owl tenna' in 2 pictures?  A folded dipole!

Somebody was thinking.  The antenna in P26s, etc. w. the BC-229 only
radiated fm the vertical component of the 'sloper' fm tail-top to 
headrest.  Maybe 3'.   And many think the BC-611 bad.  Talk about horrible 
ways to 'get out' on hf!

But the folded dipole was 1-freq.  Win some, lose some.
