Was rattling thru some compendia last nite (TM11-227, 11-487, Chesson,
Army in WW2 / Sig. Corps, etc.)

Looking for info on SCR-260 which was a BC-348 rx and a BC-349 tx. I
knows this flies in the face of WA5CAB's pronaoncement that IDs
were the luck of the draw.*

Anywhey, has anyone ever seen a BC-349 or have data on same?

Then there's this mystery box with which M. Hanz & I both suffer. The
BC-307 tx in the SCR-238.** A GE thing I'd gess went in a medium bummer
like a B-18 (DC-2 basis)

If Army could have a 'baby BC-191' like the BC-223 in the SCR-245 for
0.5-tracks, why cudn't the AAF have a corrollary?

Now this is far-fetched. Might the BC-349 be the 24V version of
the BC-307??? And how many are August Link's?

  Marty

 *not too. The SCS-2 has BCs 638,639, & 640. Radars like SCR-268, 270/1,
& 584 had long sequences of successively numbered gizmos.

**SCR-238 used BC-224 rx, a 12V '348 more or less. Naturally I'd like
a '224. But not as much as.... well never mind.
