Gents:
The intermittent BFO in the R-26 is likely fixed by replacing C26, a 100 uuF
molded mica, so far so good. But I noticed something by accident that is
interesting, if one probe of an ohmmeter is connected to either lead on a
given resistor and the other probe placed on the side of the resistor a
resistance can be read, in fact it's sort of like a slider resistor if the
probe is moved back and forth. I tried several resistors and they are all
like that.
The companion T-19 has just been powered up with a homebrew AC power supply,
it puts out a little over 100w to a dummy load. (450vdc B+) Once a low pass
filter is put in the feed power drops to 10w. The low pass filter is
suspect and a custom one is in the works. Next step will be the 'scope.
