By any chance, is info on how to build (and use)
one of these gadgets available anywhere?

Troops,
Those who attended last years meet will remember Paul Bernhardt's excellent
presentation on testing transmitter tubes with a purpose-built curve tracer.
By popular demand, Paul will be bringing his apparatus to this years meet
this Friday and Saturday in Gilbert, Pa., and Paul is inviting you to bring
your tubes for analysis.
See www.milradio.org.
The setup can check the performance of 813's, 211's, 6L6's, 6146's, etc.
Two tubes can be tested simultaneously so that they can be matched.
Here's a great chance to sort through those questionable fire bottles.
See you there,
Al
