Wow, quick response! Many thanks for taking the time to put the info 
together, Dave.

I'll take a look at the AN/ references you've given, that's a very early 
date for radio controlled bombs, was it something to do with the Aphrodite 
Project that Joe Kennedy Jr. lost his life in, I wonder? His B24 went up in 
smoke about 15 miles from here over the coast. I was wrong about the 
frequency range but that coverage does confirm what I'd heard from someone 
about it being a 28 Mc rig. There seems to be a lot of circuitry associated 
with the modulator, I wonder if it was used to send FSK-type data signals?

Anyway, thanks again, just need to locate a circuit diagram now and get some 
power on the rig.
