[Milsurplus] Mil HF rigs not NTIA compliant

Hi

At least as I read the NTIA standards the issue of stability only comes 
in above 20 MHz. Below that a 1 ppm radio is perfectly acceptable since 
it will be inside the +/- 20 Hz specification.

A lot of the military portable gear is TCXO based. Over a reasonable 
military temperature range 1 ppm was a rational stability 
specification. The  mobile and base gear usually was specified at 
something better than 0.1 ppm.

Does the good old NTIA specify a temperature range? If they do I missed 
it on their site ...
