Weird Stuff is very much alive and well. They still do their lot bid sales, and they still have their retail area as well.

One of the nicest things I've found about that store is that if you don't see something, ASK about it! Be specific enough, and you can probably get escorted into the warehouse to look for what you're after.

The latter is no longer so true. While they do still have a great deal of older hardware/software, they also have some current stuff (at least if you define 'current' to mean the last four or so years.

The other neat thing about Weird Stuff is that their stock can change in a heartbeat, often at the whim of one of the owners. In fact, I just got back from my annual scrounge run to the Bay Area, and WS was one of my stops. They had a high count of 19" equipment racks and cabinets in stock, of various heights and styles, all at pretty decent prices.

I have listings of electronic surplus stores for the Bay Area, Oregon, and (western) Washington state on my site: http://www.bluefeathertech.com/technoid/swapindex.html

The format will be changing soon to include more detailed info, including a storefront photo of each place, and I certainly have no problem at all listing military surplus places as long as they sell at least 50% electronic goodies.

	Keep the peace(es).
