Kopelove's in Dayton.  This pre-dated Mendelsohn's I think.

My episode goes back to '59.  I'd visited Kopelove's once & it was a 
surplus store in the same vein as Laipirow Bro.s in Cincy, but not
as neat (Laipirow's neat, what an exaggeration). Few shelves, stuff 
just piled in pole barns.

But the trip made a difference since I found their & Laipirow's big source
was Gentile AFB, the Wright-Pat materials ctr.

What do I do?  I go out to Gentile & inspect.  Mother lode city!

Then-W8VFX signs up as a bidder & lands a few pieces @ spot-bid.  Getting
bolder, in comes 11 Beachmaster amp.s (p/o PAM-1) on a later 'opening.'  

On this lot of lunks I'm stumped for transport.  What to do?

Well keep 3 & sell 8 to Kopelove's, that's what.

I noticed the bux sure beat carrying double-18 at the nearby country club.
