What I remember of Anchor Electronics (7th Ave) was the stack of
of 4 or 5 R-390, $75 each as I recall -- of course, I wasn't interested,
"knowing" that the R-390A with mechanical filters was much better.

Much of the stock from that store was sold to a guy who opened
a place next to Gateway Electtronics. I kept asking and he
kepy saying he had the R-390's in storage somewhere and would get
around to bringing them in someday. The store closed after
a couple of years, and I heard all the remaining stock was
packed up and shipped to someplace in the Orient. This place
also had a large stock of R-390 VU meters in rather poor
condition. Wish I had know it was closing as I would have bought
more of them.

John KK6IL (still kicking myself)
