I don't understand why everyone seems to report switch problems with Tek
scopes. We used them everywhere from the deserts of Libya and Saudi Arabia to the
jungles of Borneo, plus more pleasant locations like northern Europe (where I
seldom got to go) and had negligible problems. HP 'scopes are overweight,
overpriced and overrated. I learned to hate them during a tour in Vietnam when
I had to haul one up 6 levels and back down almost every day while I was
babysitting an AN/URN-3A.
