David and group:

An additional horror story:  When the Navy moved many of their offices
from the Pentagon to Crystal City a few decades back, somehow, all the
classified WW2 DF files disappeared.  Hmmmmm??????  Now, duplicates of
much of that material is still held by SwRI, but no one in the government
bureaucracy will sign up to reviewing and declassifying those documents. 
So there they sit until some other government pinhead orders them
destroyed.
