[Milsurplus] ARC-5 and other Docs

I understand the sentiment of this thread but lets be realistic, no one
individual has the storage space available for the tons of documents that
were disposed.  And just putting the documents in boxes in a dry
environment, does no one any good either.  If the collection is not
cataloged, it is next to useless.

I watched as the company I once worked for dispose of their history.  I
was told that it was on the orders of the new parent company.  It was sad
to see several 30 foot containers of paper go to the recycler.  Even
worse was to see prototype equipment go to the dump.  I took what I
could, but the amount of material was enormous.  Even with an
understanding wife, it was more then I could put in our two car garage
and basement.

If we need to blame anyone for this loss, lets blame ourselves.  The
"bureaucrats" are just doing what the majority wanted, a leaner
government that costs less to operate.  Although it doesn't seem to me
that our government has gotten any smaller these last six or so
administrations, regardless of party affiliation.  But then, some strides
evidently have been made.  Who knew?
