i complained to ebay last year when "yabe" changed the search engine to
eliminate hyphens and explained the reason they are needed - the support
people denied they even had changed it. i complained some more and sent
samples of the old and the new and never heard back. you should also see all
of the other horrors the listing pages contain now. the bloat inside the new
java pages contains tons of image links, outside advertising links , and
code to capture what you are searching for. this bloat makes the pages huge
and much slower to load. try the mozilla browser to cut down on the images
and links. right click the listings pages and "view source" to see all the
stuff they are doing.
